In order to promote the in-depth development of the curriculum ideological and political building of the school, give full play to the role of classroom as the main channel and front for educating people, make it walk with ideological and political building, improve the teaching skills for the "curriculum ideological and political building", and create a batch of demonstration classes of "curriculum ideological and political building", the Sixth Teaching Design Competition of Curriculum Ideological and Political Building was held on Tencent Meeting at 2:30 pm on October 27, 2022, and five faculty members from Scholl of Science (SS), Yan Bing, Jing Xili, Wang Mingli, Yu Chunxiao and Ma Zhanyou served as judges.

Vice Dean Wang Mingli first announced the rules and evaluation requirements of the competition. Each faculty member participating in the competition carefully prepared PPT courseware, gave a wonderful explanation for 10 min based on the ideological and political content of the course, and answered the questions raised by the judges. During the competition, eight contestants, based on the discipline characteristics of SS and relying on the teaching content of the course, dug deep into the ideological and political elements contained in the course and the carried ideological and political education functions. The contestants integrated ideological and political education with classroom teaching by virtue of the meticulous logic, fluent language and novel teaching content, demonstrated the classroom teaching brilliantly, and perfectly presented the organic unity of "knowledge transfer" and "value guidance". Based on the on-site scoring, 2 first prizes, 3 second prizes and 3 third prizes were given. Zhao Bing and Ren Fuquan won the first prize of this competition, and Zhao Bing was recommended by the school to participate in the curriculum ideological and political building competition of the university.

After the competition, the five judges commented and guided the contestants' performance respectively, and affirmed the overall performance of the contestants. In addition, these judges put forward pertinent suggestions to all the contestants that they should further explore the ideological and political elements contained in the course, and integrate the ideological and political cases closely with the course content through careful design; they should continue to connect the basic theories with the application, and the public courses with the professional courses in the design of teaching content, so that the learning by students resonates with the teaching by teachers at the same frequency, and the students are motivated to absorb and digest the knowledge.

Finally, Vice Dean Wang Mingli announced the results of the competition and affirmed the careful preparation and wonderful performance of the contestants. Wang also expressed the gratitude to the judges for their wonderful comments which sound like a vivid ideological and political demonstration class, injecting fresh blood and adding new vitality to the whole competition. This competition embodies the fundamental task of "cultivating people by virtue", and is also a big competition of basic teaching skills. It not only promotes the development of teaching level in SS, but also provides a teaching exchange platform for faculty, boosting the implementation of the major strategy of talents training in the university.
