The SS has 1725 students, of whom 27 are PhD candidates, 382 are postgraduates, and 1316 and undergraduates. In the past three years, the school has completed more than 50 teaching reforms, with the number of principle investigators making-up over 30% of the total number of teaching staff. In launching these reforms, student creativity was much improved. Students are encouraged to participate in the “National College Student Mathematical Modeling” competition, and have won more than 20 national-level awards as well as provincial awards, which makes them leading academic performers in in the Hebei Province. The SS has developed an educational philosophy of “Growth accompanied by someone, Innovation inspired by someone, Employment supported by someone”.
